For as long as I can remember, I have been interested in Real Estate and design. As my kids got older, I was looking for something to transition into from my career in the wellness industry. My husband convinced me that I would make an excellent real estate professional so at age 43 I decided to start a whole new career! It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years now that I have been helping clients buy and sell their homes! Navigating folks through what can be an extremely stressful time (both emotionally and financially) has become my calling.
I am originally from Northern Virginia, spending summers in Bethany Beach, Delaware. I attended college at West Virginia University majoring in Anthropology and decided on massage school instead of graduate school because of my deep desire to help and nurture people. I later moved to Baltimore and met my future husband Bryan there. A few years later, we came to the Triangle Area on a whim as newlyweds and have never looked back. We live in Historic Downtown Apex with our two sons (I’m in denial that my older son has moved out on his own), our two rescue dogs and two ex-feral cats (yes, it’s a zoo!)
My favorite times are spent hanging with my boys, entertaining friends, camping, and playing on the beach. I am a huge advocate for not acting your age! I keep myself young at heart by rollerskating, beach cartwheels, going to concerts right up against the stage, and listening to music much too loudly. I am passionate about my little town, supporting small local businesses, Pit Bull advocacy, childhood cancer education/fundraising, and sharing my love of skating with others.
One of my favorite things about the Triangle area is the sense of community. I truly think that because so many of us came from somewhere else, we rely on our friends and neighbors for things you take for granted if you have family close by, which creates an unusually tight bond. My understanding of how it feels to pick up and leave everything you are familiar with to chart a new course helps me provide a much needed support system for folks relocating to our area. It is a real leap of faith for people and tears sometimes happen! Don’t worry... I’ve got you. Many of my relocation clients have become dear friends and are regulars at my home for parties and holidays. Sharing my love of this area and my community to new folks has become my true passion. Whether you are relocating here or making a local move, I will always guide you with compassion and diligence to help you through this emotional transition.
